Bucs Looking For First Win Against Panthers
Sunday very well could be the day that rookie head coach Raheem Morris gets his first win in the NFL betting. After five attempts and five failures the sixth-time just might be the charm as the Bucs take on the struggling the Panthers in front of a home crowd.
Last week the Panthers got their first precious win against a messed-up Redskins team and will look to parlay that lone victory into an NFL betting winning streak in Tampa. But all bets are off as this is not only a battle of two bad teams hungry for win but also a division rivalry. These two teams know each better than either would like and it should be a cat fight.
The Bucs are slim underdogs at -3 points in the NFL football betting but on this day they should get the monkey off their back and pull off the least impressive and most insignificant upset of the week.
Last week, in his first career start QB Josh Johnson put up some awful numbers including a 51% completion rate, 3 INTs and QB rating 53.8 points. But he certainly looked impressive doing it. He doesn’t have a lot of talent around him to begin with but he showed flashes of brilliance and against a porous Panthers defense and a start under his belt he could have a big day on Sunday.
The Panthers continue to suffer with Jake Delhomme at the helm and hungry Bucs team could easily get the better of this team in what would be big NFL football news. Look for the Bucs to break into the win column this week.
