Manning Still Effective With Limited Weapons
Perhaps the best way to become an All-pro receiver in NFL betting is simply to play with Peyton Manning. If you think about all the players that have success catching the ball in Indy over the past decade the one common thread between them all is that they’ve had the inscrutable Manning passing them the ball.
This season many NFL betting critics has written the QB off. Many questioned the offense’s ability to move the ball without out Indy fixture Marvin Harris at WR. There were also many opinions in NFL football betting that didn’t think Manning had enough depth at any of the skill positions to lead this team to the playoffs. And these were very reasonable opinions considering that, in fact, the team did have very little talent in the receiving corps heading into this season.
But one of the biggest stories in NFL football news this season is how good Manning and his no name receivers have looked. Of course, he’s still got All-pro Reggie Wayne who draws a constant double team.
Old stand by Dallas Clarke has been wide opened and delivered on many occasion. But the real surprise in the NFL betting has been the stepped up play of unheralded second-year man Pierre Garcon out of tiny Mount Union College. Rookie Austin Collie has also stepped up when needed.
Now, after a 3-0 start, no one is talking about the lack of depth at receiver. And Manning, averaging 328-yards a game (118 passer rating) has quieted any critics that might have suggested his best days were all behind him.
